Level 3 Early Years Educator

Overview

This position provides an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Early Years Educator to work at EDG Nursery settings in a flexible, locum-based role.

Responsible For

• We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s development and maintaining high standards of care. The role of Early Years Educator will include:
• Supporting nursery staff to deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development
• Assisting in planning and implementing activities in line with EYFS
• Ensuring all daily nursery tasks are completed efficiently
• Adhering to all nursery policies, procedures, and risk assessments
• Maintaining appropriate supervision of children in line with staff ratios
• Carrying out observations and contributing to children’s development records
• Reporting and documenting any safeguarding concerns, incidents, or accidents
• Maintaining effective communication with team members regarding children’s wellbeing and daily routines
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for children, staff, and parents

Specific Skills

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and childcare regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Adaptability to work across different nursery environments
• Strong communication and observational skills
• A proactive and positive attitude towards childcare
